    UK buyers are to be charged more for an iPad compared to those already being sold in the US. Vat is said to be responsible for the difference.

    UK prices are said to be WiFi Models: 16GB / 32GB / 64GB — £429 / £499 / £599. 3G versions: 16GB / 32GB / 64GB — £529 / £599 / £699. available in the UK from 28 May 2010

    VAT is responsible for some of the difference but there is still around £35 extra profit for Apple on the cheapest model.
