    Default Mac Outlook

Microsoft has announced it will include Outlook, an e-mail and calendar program that is part of some versions of Windows Office, in the next version of its Office suite for Apple Mac computers.

Mac Outlook will rely on a new database, sync with Microsoft Exchange, and be compatible with Outlook for Windows.

The current Mac version of Office includes Entourage, which will be dropped.

Hehe. Remember that old G4 I told you about that I bought off the local freeads? The one that kept getting kernel panics?
Well I've tried maybe 10 or more different bits of SDRAM in it and it didn't work right with any of them.
I had a repair job come in this week with a matched pair of SDRAM DIMMS and the (Athlon) mobo also had two slots for DDR memory which I have tons of. So I tried the SDRAM pair in the Mac and they worked! So far has booted about 5 times and I have run the disk utils etc.
I gave the customer a free DDR memory upgrade in exchange for the two 256MB matched modules so he's happy.

    My first MAC! Yay!

Pretty awesome how responsive a 350MHz processor is running OS X (Tiger). I'd have imagined it to be practically unuseable.

Here's what it looks like BTW:

My Mac needs a name. Any suggestions?

Bear in mind it's pretty old and almost ended up down the dump!

Excellent! Thanks. Jones it is then.

I just tried to load a friends copy of TechTool but it complains that I need to upgrade to something called Quartz Extreme. I take it my crappy graphics card won't support this and I should not bother?
