    Default Unresponsive business

I went to the Business Startup exhibition at Docklands last Friday; an excellent show.

I got chatting to someone on a stand supplying website hosting (first time I have ever heard of them); they also offer free hosting, which is just what I need for a project I started and hosted with HeartInternet - they will be stopping free hosting at the end of this month. The salesperson on this stand; probably cost over £3k, was free flowing with how wonderful his company's services are.

The following day I emailed this company asking to sign up for a free hosting package; there was no automatic way to do so on line, that was a week ago and I am still waiting for a reply. If you offer free hosting, IMO, you should always follow up you never know if it will lead to something big.

It is possible my email went adrift, or more likely they are all talk and no action. The question is, should I email again or leave it as just another tin-pot company over selling them selves?

Personally I would just leave it. If they take over a week to process what are essentially sales emails then how long would they take to process support requests?

I would email again, if they are gonna give you a free account then its at least worth a peek.

Don't give any credit card details though even if they say they won't charge it.

A Common hosting scam is to tell you that you need to phone a specific number if you don't want to continue when your free hosting period is finished. The number is normally a premium rate number and it will put you on hold for 10min - 15mins before it connects you to an operator... a trick sadly used by a well know UK company.... S_____________ . Very sad!
